Appointment Duration for Check-ups
The EX15 time has been amended from 20 minutes to the pre-covid 15 minutes. This should help with booking ex/hyg hygienists appointments, avoiding those annoying 10 minute gaps. We will have a period of some 20 minutes and some 15 minutes until this has worked through.
Vista Scan Plate Wipes
A supply of wipes to clean the xray plates are now stored by the xray machine. Once a month, all the x-ray plates should be wiped. One wipe will clean a number of plates.
Surgery Log Changes
The new monthly x-ray plate cleaning task has been added to the CN/MC surgery logs.
The instrument expiry check section has also been amended. Please record the last expiry date you checked (ie if you are performing the task in February, you would probably check up to 31/3/22), also record the number of pouches you reprocessed.
New Patients
Please make sure you collect all the patient's personal details (ie full address, post code, dob, mobile, email) when booking an appointment. If the patient was on the waiting list only limited data was recorded initially. The most likely omission is date of birth.
GP Details are also often missing when recording medical history.
