Weekly Round Up - 31/03/2022

As my time as PM draws to a close and the rest of this round-up is handed over to Mandy, I just wanted to thank you all for making my time at Arundel so special and memorable. Arundel will always have a very special place in my heart and I'm proud to have played a small part in it's history.
Officially, I became PM back in 1996 but my involvement began at Arundel's inception in 1990. Over the years there have been many changes - conversion from NHS, CQC and all the increased regulation, DCP registration and CPD, change of owners and finally the COVID bombshell. I have reflected on the people who helped make Arundel the Practice it is today; Charlie and Clive for taking the plunge and laying the foundations for a thriving Practice. Carol Eldridge who start the quality hygienist service (believe me, perio wasn't a priority in the 1990s) and Joy who continued her good work. Barbara, Nicky and Lauren now continue this legacy and their dedication and commitment to providing excellent patient care has been inspirational. All the receptionists and nurses over the years, some good, some more challenging ! I can say with confidence that the current team are the best I've worked with, so thank you. I'm sure you will continue to give Mandy all the support you have willing given me over the years. Finally, Chris and Mike - you have maintained Arundel's original ethos but made it your own. You both deserve all the success in the world, you provide exceptional care for your patients and they are all very lucky to have you ! It has been a pleasure to work for you. I'm looking forward to seeing the renovations and the new chapter for Arundel.
Over the years Arundel has made me cry but mostly laugh and I will miss the patients (well some of them), the funny stories, Barbara's special coffees and the general Arundel banter. It's not goodbye, just adieu but thank you all for being such wonderful colleagues and friends.

Hi Team.
Thank you for welcoming me as the new practice manager. Your messages of congratulations were much appreciated.
I am excited and looking forward to fulfilling this role. Michelle has big boots to fill but I will do my best to continue all her hard work. I will try my best to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Over the next few weeks and until we recruit a new nurse, I will still be in the surgery most of the time, however I will be managing the most important tasks too. If I miss anything glaring obvious please let me know 😃. We are due to carry out 2 possibly 3 interviews on Friday so hopefully we will find a new nurse soon.
I appreciate the next few weeks/months will be different but hopefully not too stressful.
I wish Michelle all best in her exciting new venture but firstly to have a fabulous holiday- I'm looking forward to pics and hearing all about it !
