Weekly Round Up - 12/08/2021

Another busy busy week !

New Patients

We have taken the decision to temporarily close our new Patient list. There are a couple of exceptions, Stephen Davies' patients and family members of existing patients. We will review again in January 2022.

Hygienist Appointments

From 5 October 2021, Barbara will be working a Tuesday morning. This is great news and gives us the additional capacity we desperately need !

Initially, we will try and cover this additional nursing shift internally. Shifts will be available on Sling shortly so if anyone wishes some extra hours please apply for them !

Practice Meeting & CPR

CPR is booked for Thursday 9 September 2021 from 1pm.

Following CPR we would like to hold a practice meeting, so would anticipate finishing between 4-4:30 pm. We really need a catch-up with everyone and this seemed the best time.

Patient Payments

We want to make sure everyone can process a patient payment. This is particularly important if working on a Saturday or when a receptionist is on lunch break and Michelle is away.

If you don't know how to do it or want a refresher please ask Zoe, Michelle or Ashley to run through it with you.

Payslip Portal

Just a reminder that payslips are accessed via the Sage portal now. If didn't respond to the original invite you will need to ask for another one.

A link button has been added to the Staff area for you to quickly access the portal site.

Becky's plan to save the planet

Becky has suggested that we stop using disposable plastic treatment trays and start using autoclavable metal trays with paper liners instead. Not only does this reduce our plastic consumption but will reduce the amount of clinical waste we are creating. Would appreciate everyone's thoughts on this proposal.
