Weekly Round Up - 4/11/21
Tricky week one way or another due to the C word, fingers crossed we have a semblance of normality next week.
Ashley is now on maternity leave. Hopefully most of us can make dinner at Trunk next Wednesday.
Instrument Tray Cupboard
You may have noticed that the decon cupboard where we store the trays has a bit of a mildew issue. The cupboard has had a good clean this week. To stop this issue, please store trays on top of the autoclaves at the end of the day. Putting trays away hot and wet is providing a great atmosphere for the mildew to thrive.
Tooth Whitening
Just a reminder to order the whitening kit with voucher at the time a TW1 appointment is booked. Also, please add a note on the appointment that the kit has been ordered, so we know it's been done.
Lab Work
Please make sure the lab is recorded in the clinical notes. We are having to chase work more frequently and it's helpful to know who to ring !
£100 Contactless Limit
Chris' pdq has been updated to accept £100 contactless payment. Still waiting for Mike's to be updated.
Hygienist Surgery
Reusable instrument trays (with paper liner) are now in operation. Making trays up in advance will be a thing of the past. Becky has rearranged the tray drawer to make it easy to quickly make up a tray.
Gowns - we still have a supply of white gowns to use up. These are now stored in the hygienist surgery and should be used for hygienist AGPs. The amount of gowns we are going through is eye watering, so it's really important that we use up this white stock, even though they are not quite "as nice" as the blue ones !
