Covid Screening Update
The Covid screening questions have changed slightly :
1. Do you have any of the following symptoms:
• high temperature or fever?
• new, continuous cough?
• a loss or alteration to taste or smell?
2. Have you or any member of your household/family had a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the last 10 days?
3. Are you or any member of your household/family waiting for a COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result?
4. Have you travelled internationally in the last 10 days to a country that is on the government red list?
5. Have you or any member of your household/family been advised to isolate by any NHS organisation in the last 10 days?
If patient answers YES to any of these questions then they should only be seen on the respiratory pathway (Level 3 PPE) if urgent treatment is required. Routine/non urgent appointments should be rebooked.
Patients with other respiratory symptoms ie runny nose, congestion, sore throat etc. should have a negative lateral flow test (taken on day of appointment) before they attend.
Our custom screens have been amended to reflect these changes.
SOE - Slow when accessing Patient List
Still waiting for SOE to sort this problem out, but if you change the search to First Name then it accesses the list really quickly. For common names
Training
Reminder to access and update your training records via your link in your account page of our staff area. Medical Emergency training has been added to each record for those that attended. Not much (if any) CPD has been logged this year !
Chlorine Tablets
The new stock of chlorine tablets already contain detergent. So, you do not need to add any detergent when dissolving the solution for surgery spray bottles.
Document Scanning from Server
When scanning from exact on the server please select the CUSTOM option rather than Black/White document - it then saves as a pdf rather than tif.
