Weekly Round-Up - 30/09/21
Well done to the intrepid Practice walkers !

Hygienist Treatment Codes
The hygienist treatment codes have had an overhaul. Hopefully, they are a bit clearer !
H1 - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 30 mins - £54
H1-AGP - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 30 mins - £54
H1-DENESS - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 30 mins - Denplan Essentials Patients
H1-AGP-DENESS - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 30 mins - Denplan Essentials Patients
H2 - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 40 mins - £70
H3 - Hygienist Supportive Therapy - 60 mins - £120
HC1 - Child Visit - 15 mins - £27
HC2 - Child aged 14-16 - 20 mins - £42
HIT codes remain the same.
H1 time/charge can be amended by dentist as required - especially useful for patients with only a few teeth.
The hygienist is in full control over the way they deliver each appointment. Therefore, they could decide to use the USS during a H1 appointment. Using H1-AGP code just helps day list planning.
H2 & H3 will ALWAYS be an AGP.
Waste
Waste collection remains a frustrating area.
We have recently had a discrepancy with the waste recorded as collected and waste actually collected. Due to COVID, PHS are not requesting a signature on their device, so we can't check that they collected every item on the schedule.
Therefore, if you are the person dealing with the waste driver please confirm exactly what is on the schedule and ask to see the tracking entry on their device. Make sure the paper record on our noticeboard is updated correctly and it will be cross-referenced with the consignment note received.
Next Week
Mains wire electrical testing is taking place over the weekend.
Chris and Mike are off on their conference Thursday and Friday.
Skip will be delivered Wednesday afternoon and collected Friday. Cellar clear out will take place on Thursday.
PAT testing of electrical appliances is booked from 9am on Thursday. Hygienist will need to use another surgery at some point during morning whilst appliances in their room are tested.
Members Account - Links to holiday and training records
Links have been added to nurses/receptionist accounts for holiday and training records. Try it out, it's completely new feature so there may be a few teething problems.
To access :

When you have logged into the Team Area, you will see your name and a down arrow. Click this down arrow and a menu will be displayed. Select My Account.

This will display Your Account Page. Click on either the Holiday or Training record link field, select the entire text and copy. Paste the web address into your browser (safari etc.).
I can't make these fields read-only at the moment so be careful not to amend the web address, otherwise it won't work !
PLEASE NOTE - do not amend the holiday record, this is a copy of a file saved on my system so any changes will not be saved.
Training records can be amended and you may find this useful to update from home.
